The Vanuatu Business Resilience Council are currently implementing a OCHA-UNDP Connecting Business initiative ('CBi') project to enhance Vanuatu's private sector response during disaster events. Working will colleagues from the Philippines, the VBRC are reviewing Vanuatu's disaster risk management policies to identify the most efficient pathways for the private sector to support government and NGO response. The project also incorporates the development of a GIS Risk Assessment System detailing the country's demographics and key infrastructure, improving the VBRC's coordination and identification of locations where private sector response will have the greatest impact.
